Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky is made from 100% sun ripened South African yellow maize, the very maize that was until the mid-80's exported to Scotland for the exceptional quality it brought to the production of grain whisky. Named after Andrew Geddes Bain, the pioneering pass builder who completed the Bainskloof Pass, not only a fine piece of engineering, but also one of the most beautiful roads in the world. The two leopards on the crest represent the Cape Mountain Leopards that have lived in and roamed the area for hundreds of years.
