Di Arie 2019 Syrah - 750ml

 Our climate, soil and farming methods enable growing Syrah grapes that have the potential of making full body wines with intensive flavors.  We harvested the fruit when it was completely ripe.  The grapes were hand sorted and gently crushed.  The fermentation was delayed for a couple of days by keeping the must at cold temperatures under 60 degrees F.  We used the Submerged Cap Fermentation Tank that keeps the berries submerged throughout the fermentation for better flavor extraction and fuller tannins.

This wine was aged for 2 years in French oak barrels.  It has a deep red color and a classic Syrah aroma of dark berries combined with green and black peppercorn and piney undertones.  This big wine finishes with an abundance of smoky, meaty and earthy flavors adding herbal and spicy notes.  This is a big wine worthy of aging for a few years for optimal quality.
